Elements Europe’s MD Simon Underwood has spoken at Planning for Housing 2018 which took place at the ILEC conference centre in London this week.
The conference is the annual national gathering for key players within the public and private sectors to discuss and debate how they can plan for, and deliver, more and better homes.
The conference is now in its fifth year and provides thought-leading debates, practitioner-led workshops and multi-regional case studies to discuss and explore practical solutions to topical and complex issues affecting the sector today.
Simon spoke on the topic of how modular construction can be used to accelerate housing delivery and how this is a viable option using examples of projects that Elements Europe have successfully delivered.
Simon also outlined how authorities are able to help ensure modular schemes are well designed and how the planning system can help promote modular construction where appropriate.
“I would like to thank the organisers for the invitation to speak and share my views and experience with the audience, it was a great session.” Commented Simon.
