Environmental principles

Elements Europe is leading the way in the sector having committed to a Low Carbon Future and has signed up to the United Nations Race to Zero and Science Based Target Initiatives.

As members of the SME Climate Hub we have committed towards halving our emissions before 2030 and strive to achieve net zero emissions before 2050. SME Climate Hub logo

Elements Europe has also committed to the target validation process and benefits from regular detailed feedback and support from the SBTi’s (Science Based Target Initiative) technical experts.

We are also proud of all of our accreditations and have achieved the new ISO 45001 standard which will help with our continual improvement of OH&S performance.

Safety performance is the top of our management agendas. Our Health and Safety Policy is reviewed regularly and in the last year Elements Europe has had no major incidents or accidents and reduced minor incidents and accidents by 28%, from 25 incidents in 2019 to 18 in 2020.

Our products and services have an impact of people’s everyday lives. Our delivery of buildings where people live and stay have a fundamental impact on social wellbeing. Our ISO 9001 standards and Quality Management System ensures high quality standards and solutions are delivered to improve social wellbeing throughout the community.

Governance principles

Strong, transparent and accountable governance safeguards the health of Elements Europe. It enables us to maintain our agility, entrepreneurial spirit and provide development opportunities for our people.

The Elements Europe Board is collectively responsible for the direction and oversight of the company and delegates day to day responsibility to the Executive Management Team (EMT). The Board and EMT believes that good governance involves the clarity of roles and responsibilities and the proper utilisation of distinct skills and processes.

The Executive Management Team is diverse and includes a mix of gender, age and experience to ensure balanced management throughout everything we do.

The Governance and reporting structures are heavily influenced by our shareholders which includes GS E&C who have implemented cooperate governance procedures in line with their worldwide PLC status.

Our accounts are regularly monitored and audited to the IFRS (International Financial Reporting Standards).

Our ISO 9001 standard Quality Management System (QMS) offers a framework to manage quality throughout our business ensuring a strong customer focus, motivation and implication of top management, a process approach and continual improvement.

Risk Management is at the heart of our business and controlled by our CEO and Head of Commercial and Board reporting structure.
