Elements Europe’s latest contract for the residential sector is now under manufacture following the successful approval of the scheme’s bathroom pod prototypes.

Mount Anvil, contractors of The Kampus, along with its developers Capital & Centric and Henry Boot Developments, its M&E contractors, architects and its interior design team visited the Elements Europe factory over a 10 day period to view and give feedback on the prototypes.

Two prototypes were manufactured for approval, a bathroom and a shower room pod. The pods both feature Hansgrohe brassware, Vitra sanitary ware, and fitted mirrored vanity units with under pelmet led lighting.

The pods structure is a hybrid of hot rolled steel for the floor and a cold rolled frame to form the walls and ceiling.

“The scheme requires each pod to have a low profile floor so to reduce its dimensions. We have worked closely with the architects to deliver this by using a hybrid steel solution.” Dave Greasley, Design Project Leader at Elements Europe commented.

Elements Europe has now started full manufacture of the 589 bathroom pods to Phase 1 of the scheme. In total, four types of bathroom pods will be manufactured.

The Kampus is a £250 million mixed use development in the heart of Manchester’s city centre.
