The Client
Elements Europe was appointed as the preferred off-site contractor for the manufacture and installation of three blocks of student accommodation at the University of Chester working in collaboration with Morgan Sindall.
The University of Chester has over 15,000 undergraduate and postgraduate students from the UK and overseas studying across the University campuses. This accommodation extended the number of beds and quality of accommodation offered to their students.
Project Description: 224 Student Room Pods
The project saw Elements Europe successfully manufacture and install 224 Room Pod modules. These consisted of en-suite Room Pods, cleaning rooms, roofing cassettes, stairwells and associated corridor cassettes.
The 224 Room Pods were all studio rooms with en-suite and kitchenette facilities, providing a high quality living and study area for students using contemporary design specifications.
The Room Pods were installed into three blocks with interconnecting floors and were installed using a transfer grillage from the ground floor which was provided by the main contractor.
