We are currently looking for an experienced Assistant Finance Manager on a full-time permanent contract to join our team at our head office in Telford. You will be working alongside the Head of finance and will be responsible for the day-to-day running of finance.

Following substantial investment by a leading global construction firm, GS Engineering & Construction (GS E&C), Elements Europe have a number of large projects in the pipeline and are looking to scale up the delivery capability with immediate effect.

Assistant Finance Manager Responsibilities:

• You will actively be assisting with accounts management preparation
• Attending regular meetings to understand the projects and costs going forward.
• Making sure all supplier payment runs are completed
• When payroll managers are on holiday, carry out all aspects of the payroll process.

• Ensuring purchase invoice entries are done correctly and resolving any queries, approving payments.
• A good understanding of bank reconciliation and VAT Returns

• You will be dealing with all Managers and Departmental heads, building and maintaining strong relationships.
• Budgeting, forecasting, and projecting costs for the business
• Credit control

Skills and Experience:

• Previous experience in Finance organisation in construction or manufacturing would be beneficial
• Be confident in dealing with day-to-day issues
• Previous experience assisting with monthly management for account preparation

• Must have a good understanding of Microsoft applications e.g. Word, Excel
• Highly organised with excellent communication skills.

• Ability to be able to work under pressure
• AAT or CIMA/ACCA qualification preferred but not essential
