The Client

Elements Europe and Pickstock Construction, both members of The Pickstock Group, have collaborated to deliver a 120-bed Premier Inn hotel in Exeter, along with two levels of basement car parking. The project was delivered for a Plymouth-based private investor client, Trathen Properties, who will in turn lease the hotel to Premier Inn.

The project was a turnkey solution by The Pickstock Group. Elements Europe manufactured and installed the Room Module system, working to the schedule of the main construction contractor, Pickstock Construction. This resulted in an expedited construction program, allowing the client to open the hotel considerably earlier to derive revenue.

Project Description: 120 Room Modules

The fully volumetric Room Modules were manufactured to the strict specification of Premier Inn ID3++ dark standards. Elements Europe also provided linen rooms, stair cores, corridor cassettes and the flat roof structure for the development as part of their Room Module system. The site is located on sloping ground and incorporates a double level of insitu-cast concrete structure to accommodate the two levels of underground parking below the hotel.

The site was previously a car park and is located next to the Crown and County Court. This is an ideal location and is the only budget hotel in Exeter’s city centre.

Elements Europe had previously delivered Room Modules and Bathroom Pods for 9 Premier Inn hotel developments throughout the country, working with their parent company (to provide turnkeys) and other contractors to successfully achieve the standards of the Whitbread Group Plc.
